Youth

Sunday Morning Classes

Sunday School classes for youth and children of all ages are available every Sunday from 9:00am-9:45am during the school year!

  • High School - Students in the 9th-12th grades study a variety of different topics and Bible Stories throughout the year. These students help to choose the topics that they want to study throughout the year!
  • Search for Life (5th-8th) - Students in the 5th-8th grades focus on the basics of the Christian faith, culminating in being confirmed or baptized as a full member at the end of 8th grade.  The class has several opportunities throughout the year to "Ask the Pastor Anything," meet with mentors, participate in service projects and fundraisers, and participate in a mission trip during spring break.

UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) - (a.k.a. Youth Group)

Youth Group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.  Grades 6th-12th meet together at this time.  All are welcome!

Each month the youth will learn a Bible lesson, do local mission projects, participate in healthy exercise, and do craft projects.  Activities already planned include helping at Camp Lakeside, adopting an angel tree for EmberHope in Newton for Christmas, visit local nursing homes, help with home projects for the elderly and physically limited, and to lead a Seder Meal in the spring.

A Spring Break mission trip is being planned as well.  Details will be posted as soon as final plans are made.
